Inhaling substances that are harmful or toxic can have major consequences. It may affect your lungs directly, or you may not experience problems for years. To avoid inhaling these harmful substances, it is wise to wear the appropriate respiratory protection.

DEPENDENT AND INDEPENDENT BREATHING PROTECTION

Proper respiratory protection is mandatory whenever you work with hazardous substances. Hobrand offers a wide range of professional respiratory protection by MSA and Dräger. We have various models of masks. Maybe you are looking for a simple mouth mask or maybe you need a complete respirator for more safety.

BREATHING APPARATUS AND BREATHING MASK FOR SAFE BREATHING

Breathing apparatus and breathing masks are used together by, for example, the fire brigade to provide breathing air in an environment where smoke and/or harmful gases are present. A breathing apparatus works with high-pressure compressed air in bottles. The air is dosed into the breathing mask via a pressure reducer and a breathing valve. SCBA gives the user optimal freedom of movement, but only a limited amount of time to work. Working with respiratory equipment and breathing mask / compressed air mask is only allowed if the user has been trained in this. All components of the respiratory equipment are suitable for heavy-duty use, yet they are easy to operate. Long service life and low maintenance requirements ensure low operating costs.

INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATION OF COMPRESSED AIR EQUIPMENT AND BREATHING APPARATUS

The guidelines state that compressed air equipment and masks must be inspected and tested at least once a year to guarantee safety. We can carry out this inspection within 48 hours at our location in Tiel. We carry out a visual check, a medium and high pressure test, replace parts such as o-rings and we check whether the pressure gauge and regulator are working properly. The compressed air mask is checked for leak tightness, so that clean air stays inside and toxic gases outside during a deployment.
