The UVEX reusable laundry bag is designed for the safe transport of contaminated or infectious firefighter protective clothing (jacket and trousers) from the incident scene to the washing machine. The bag is made of high-quality polyester (550 dtex) and offers abrasion resistance comparable to CORDURA 560 dtex. It features a special high wash-resistant PU coating (two layers) and FC impregnation, supporting long service life and stable performance. The water column is >10,000 mm in original condition and ≥9,000 mm after 5 washes at 60°C. In addition, oil repellency remains at the original level after 5×60°C washing, and the spray rating after 5×60°C is 100. The bag does not react to moisture (e.g., extinguishing water or ambient humidity) and can be washed together with the protective clothing without leaving residues that affect protection or breathability. It is reusable multiple times and includes a hanging pocket for disposable gloves and an (FFP) mask, with space for RFID tagging or identification.
