For detection of the presence of radioactive materials, and the measurement of ionizing radiation the fire department has the Auto Mess 6150 AD1. Dose and dose rate can be measured with this device. DeAD1 is built into the Auto Mess 6150, with counter tube for radiation, is suitable for measure during deployment the actual dose rate radiation (useful in energy levels of 45 keV to 3 MeV). The measuring range for the first dose is one uSv/h - 1000 mSv/h. The alarm for dose rate is set to 25 uSv / h. The measuring range for the dose (in uSv or mSv) total from switching on the device is max. 10 Gy. The alarm for the dose is standard set to 2 mGy.
