Fire brigades in the Netherlands increasingly use the standard spreader as a tool when lifting heavy loads. This sometimes results in risky situations. Due to its construction, the spreader can be placed and kept under the last door; an uneven surface with a sloping angle. The risk is then that the spreader will not be able to release its force properly. The SHUB is a simple and effective solution that makes it possible to work quickly with a standard spreader as a lifting device.
Quick and easy to use
Due to its light weight and bare dimensions, the SHUB is manageable for everyone. The SHUB ended next to the spreader in the TS. The use is simple, the operator does not have to set anything. The spreader fits in the SHUB and can be raised directly.
Work safely on any surface
The SHUB can stand on an uneven surface. Where the angle of inclination is automatically adjustable, the SHUB ensures certainty and the spreader cannot fold. The SHUB follows the angle of the object and ensures that the force of the spreader remains perpendicular. The power of the spreader is fully utilized.
Affordable alternative to lifting bags
The lifting bags are not required in the standard packing of a firefighting truck. There is, however, an adequate means of levying heavy loads. The spreader macro is a good alternative, provided that it can become stable and safe. The SHUB is easy and inexpensive to produce and is ready for any standard spreader.

Deployment of the SHUB increases stability during lifting operations using a spreader or combi tool.
However, the use of the SHUB may exceed the international design guidelines as set out in EN13204 if impermissibly high lateral forces are applied to the spreader arms. Such lateral forces may negatively affect the integrity and therefore the safety of the spreader.
Hobrand cannot accept product liability if a spreader or combi tool is used in combination with an accessory that is wider than the original spreading tip.
The load must at all times be sufficiently stabilised before lifting operations are started.
In addition, the load must be adequately cribbed during lifting and a stable, level surface must be ensured.
